Perlite can be mixed with topsoil or potting soil to increase root zone
aeration. It can also be used by itself or mixed with other sterile
media for drip or passive hydroponic systems. Because it doesn't crush
fine stems or root systems, lightweight Perlite is perfect for growing
delicate plants such as lettuce. Coarse grade.
