SOLARMAX grow lamps are designed with the grower in mind. This is a MH bulb that works with an HPS ballast. If you bought an HPS lighting system to use during the flowering stage, and now you want to use the same lighting system to grow plants in the vegetative stage instead, then this is the bulb you need. Simply unscrew the existing HPS bulb and replace it with this one and your set. SolarMax specialty bulbs offer many enhancements over regular bulbs. SolarMax bulbs are tubular in shape, allowing them to fit in a wide variety of reflectors, such as the Super Sun, Sun Gro and Maximizer reflectors. The SolarMax 600 watt MH bulb, while producing less initial lumens than other bulbs, has the highest PAR rating of all MH bulbs, has an even better spectrum than the SunMaster Cool Deluxe (7200° - more blue light) and is the only 600W conversion bulb small enough to fit inside the P.L.
