The motor is encased in a corrosion-resistant nylon housing for further protection. This 325 gallon per hour submersible pump is powerful enough to use in a small pond (roughly 325 gallons) or large hydroponic systm (50-100 gallons). The Pump has a 6' cord that plugs into an 115-volt outlet, is UL listed, and includes two inlet volutes: original style with a snap-off screen, and one with a fitting for filter attachment.
